Working In Melbourne

5th May, Weekend Away, Inverloch

I went away for the weekend with Karen, Yvonne and Therese. Drove to Inverloch Friday evening, Tea was Flake (Shark) and chips.

Up early on Saturday morning weather dry and sunny though cold. We went for a long brisk walk along the beach before having a late breakfast, Eggs Benedict. Spent the afternoon wandering around surf shops then went for lunch in Cowes, Phillips Island. Just before dusk we went to The Nobbies to see the seals (a bit too far off to see them!)then went to see the Penguins Parade. The Fairy/Little penguins are only 33cm tall - They wait to dusk then come out of the sea, make a mad dash up the beach (and bottle it several times!!) before going back to their burrows whilst shouting madly at each other!!

Travelled back to Melbourne Sunday morning, the weather was could not make up its mind what it wanted to do – It rained heavily all night, then lots of showers, including hail stones
